ToolyPrivacy Policy
The short version: your WhatsApp contacts never leave your device. They're read and exported locally in your browser, and we collect only the minimum needed to run your account and licence.

- An on-chain confirmation for your order
- Anonymous usage counts (how often a scan or export ran) — no personal data
The extension is read-only and processes contact data on your device only. No contact, number, group, message or exported file is ever uploaded to, stored on, or transmitted to Tooly's servers — or anywhere else. The only thing the extension sends us is the anonymous usage counts described below, which contain no personal data.

Anonymous usage statistics
To find out where the extension fails people, it reports a small number of named events — such as “a scan finished”, “a scan found nothing”, or “an export ran” — to Google Analytics through our own server at tooly.contact.
What an event can contain is fixed in the code, not by policy: the export format (CSV, Excel, vCard, JSON), a size band such as “51–200” rather than an exact number, your plan type (free, or which paid plan), your browser’s language setting, which of Tooly’s own buttons and options were used (never what you typed or what WhatsApp showed), how long a step took as a time band such as “15–60 seconds”, the type of any error (never its message), and a random ID created on install. There is no field for a name, a phone number, a group, a file name or free text, so none can be sent. Your IP address is not stored by us, and the random ID is not linked to your email or your licence.
Because these counts are reported through our own server rather than a tag in your browser, Google Analytics never receives your IP address and cannot derive your location from it. Combined with the random install ID and the banded counts, there is nothing in this data that identifies you.
We rely on our legitimate interest in knowing which parts of the extension fail. If you would nonetheless prefer your installation to be excluded, email support@tooly.contact and we will remove it.
If you uninstall
Removing the extension opens a short page asking why. Answering is optional, and the page collects only your chosen reason, anything you type in the comment box, the extension version, and the same random install ID — so we can see what that installation experienced before it left. Nothing is submitted unless you press the button.
Cookies
We use only essential storage needed to keep you signed in, plus Google Analytics on this website and for the anonymous usage counts above. No advertising cookies, no ad networks, nothing that follows you across other sites, and no sale or sharing of your data with anyone.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data at any time by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your stored licence data.
Retention & security
We keep account and licence data only while your account is active, plus any period required for legal or accounting reasons. Data is protected in transit (HTTPS) and access is restricted.
Children
Tooly is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
